2017 Annual Fundraising Auction and Dinner
Saturday, November 11, 2017, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
at Tahoma Unitarian Universalist Congregation
Celebrating our many new beginnings at TUUC – including our newly Settled Minister, new Director of Religious Exploration, new programs for the adults and youth – we have some new, fun changes for our auction. First and foremost, we’re collaborating with the Vashon Island Unitarian Fellowship on this auction. Congregants from both VUIF and TUUC will be donating auction items. Funds raised for items donated by VUIF will go to that fellowship, funds from TUUC donated items will go to TUUC, and anyone can bid on any auction items, regardless of which group donated them. Dinner will be provided by a caterer who is a member of the VUIF, and will include dishes for a variety of dietary needs and preferences. We will be having a “Dessert Dash” following dinner –where homemade cakes, pies, or other desserts donated by auction participants will be bid on by each table. Rather than having a 50/50 raffle, we will raffle off some donated auction items, including gift cards, as well as some more valuable items.
Please bring all tangible items you are donating for the auction on Sunday, November 5, 2017, before and after worship service. You are encouraged to offer services as well, such as dinners, lessons, etc. Be creative! Please complete and submit one Auction 2017 Donation Form for each donation. Donations are tax deductible.
Tickets for the Auction and Dinner are $10 and sold prior to the event. Entry at the door will be $12. Admission for children over 4 is $5.00 in advance or at the door. Tickets are sold following worship services. You are encouraged to get your tickets early, so we can provide an accurate headcount to the caterers.
When you arrive at the auction you will be given a bid number. Your purchases that evening— raffle tickets, silent auction items, and live auction items—will be posted to your bid number. When you are ready to leave, your total bill for the evening will be prepared for you. You can then choose to pay by credit card, check, or cash. You can also choose to take your bill home and pay online at www.TahomaUU.com that evening, from your checking or savings account.
