How a Japanese man helped hundreds of people deal with their grief after a tsunami. It involved an old English telephone booth, and a sort of magic that helped to heal the pain of loss.

The Rev. Amanda Aikman (pronounced like ACHE-man) is a retired UU minister who lives in Everett with her partner, Nancy. She served churches in the PNW, including a stint in Canada, for 25 years. She describes herself as a recovering playwright. Her first novel, the racy “Miss Lister’s Guest House,” was published last year. Amanda was last in our pulpit in 2018 and is delighted to be here with us today.
