Zoom

All of our upcoming worship services and many of our meetings are accessible on Zoom, an online videoconferencing application. This page provides a basic overview of how to get started on Zoom and join us online.

This page may be updated periodically as we learn ways to best support our congregation connecting through the Zoom platform, and we sincerely appreciate your support as we all learn our way into this new way of finding shared space together online.

To access our Sunday worship services via Zoom Webinar, or to attend a group meeting using Zoom Meeting, here are some simple steps below to find us on Zoom.

Zoom ABCs

You can use a computer, tablet, or smart phone that connects to the internet to access either a Zoom Webinar or a Zoom Meeting.

To use Zoom Webinar or Zoom Meeting, first download an application for your computer, tablet, or smart phone that you can find in your application store like Google Play or iTunes, search for Zoom, then download the free application.

Once you have the Zoom application on your device, you can use it to access either Zoom Webinar for our Sunday worship services, or Zoom Meeting for our small group meetings.

When you join a Zoom Meeting, you may wish to use earbuds or headphones with a microphone, as this should enhance your sound experience.

Sunday Worship Service via Zoom Webinar

Each Sunday you can log into Zoom Webinar at: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82318384686?pwd=MjVXY2dIUGlDRGRubUJicE5KdWhlUT09
Password: 253
You can also listen on your phone by dialing 253-215-8782 with Webinar ID: 823 1838 4686 to hear the worship service.

We plan to have the Zoom Webinar open around 10:15 a.m. each Sunday, so you can log in prior to the worship service at 10:30 a.m.

When you log into the Zoom Webinar, you will able to see the worship service, and hear the speakers and any music.

In Zoom Webinar, you will be able to chat in a chat box, but you will not be able to talk or see other Attendees. To enter chat, look for the Word Balloon icon, and click or tap it to open the chat window where you can type messages to your TUUC friends. You can choose to chat with a single person in the room, or the entire group, but a good rule of thumb is to assume everyone can see your chat message, as it’s easy to forget whether you’ve clicked to send a private or public message.

If you simply wish to listen to the worship service, without using a computer, tablet, or smart phone, you can listen on any mobile or landline phone by dialing 253-215-8782 and using Webinar ID 581-391-656 to hear the worship service. If you have friends who may not be as comfortable with accessing the service online, please suggest this option to them.

If you are not able to attend on a Sunday morning, we plan to have a recording of the services posted on our YouTube channel the same week as the service, and will also post on our Facebook page. You can also subscribe to our YouTube channel, so you’ll always know when a new video is posted, and you can “like” our Facebook page, and the magical Facebook algorithms will know you want to see our page more often. Sharing our YouTube videos, or our Facebook posts to your Facebook page is a great way to introduce our congregations to your circle of friends who may be happy to learn more about our congregation.
