SpiritUUality Cafe - "Calling BS" Data Reasoning in a Digital World
Sanctuary, Tacoma WA Our world is saturated with BS. Learn to detect and defuse it with a condensed version of a course put together by two University of Washington professors, “Calling Bull: Data Reasoning in a Digital World.” They see a critically-thinking electorate and BS detection as “essential to the survival of liberal democracy.” You’ll learn how to spot fake news, how to refute it, and how to filter it out of your information diet. Led by Tahoma UU member, Debbie Cafazzo, an experienced journalist with over three decades of newsroom experience.
SpiritUUality Cafe is an Adult Religious Exploration program exploring different topics on the first Friday of each month, September 2018 through May 2019. Join us for spiritual exploration and discussion every first Friday.
