We are members and friends of Unitarian Universalism walking the path of spiritual experience and growth as it unfolds in our lives. We come to this safe, caring, authentic, compassionate group for inspiration, to study, and to explore our direct experience of the fullness and mystery of life.
The group is facilitated by Doug Taylor.

This year the group is using the book, Radical Compassion: Learning to Love Yourself and Your World with the Practice of RAIN by Tara Brach.
In this heartfelt and deeply practical book, she offers an antidote: an easy-to-learn four-step meditation that quickly loosens the grip of difficult emotions and limiting beliefs. Each step in the meditation practice (Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture) is brought to life by memorable stories shared by Tara and her students as they deal with feelings of overwhelm, loss, and self-aversion, with painful relationships, and past trauma–and as they discover step-by-step the sources of love, forgiveness, compassion, and deep wisdom alive within all of us.

Paying Attention: What is in Your Cup?

In a wisdom tale, Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh tells us the bump in the road doesn’t create what spills out of the cup we are carrying. Instead it reveals what is already inside. The question is not about who bumps us rather, “What am I carrying in my cup?”

Kids' Chapel on Zoom

Join Nancy Slocum, Director of Religious Exploration for Children and Youth for a “Kids’ Chapel” via Zoom on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. This program is geared for elementary school-aged children and will provide a little time to connect and share with each other. We still have a Time for All Ages during our online worship service which starts at 10:30 a.m., and encourage children to participate in the worship service through that point.

If you are a parent of a child or children in our Religious Exploration program and have not received the login information, please email Nancy at dir.re@tahomauu.com and she will send you the info.

"Pageant Without (much) Preparation" Rehearsal

Holiday “Pageant Without (much) Preparation” Rehearsal

Rehearsal on Sunday, December 13, 2020, 2:00 p.m.

Performance on Sunday, December 20, 10:30-11:30 a.m. (during Worship Service)

Each December, TUUC holds a Holiday Pageant. This year, our pageant will tell the story of Christmas, the birth of Jesus. The pageant will be performed on Sunday, December 20 during our worship service and people will participate from their homes via Zoom. This is appropriate for ALL AGES and ABILITIES!

Additionally, participants will need to be available on Sunday, December 13 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for a Zoom Rehearsal.

We need to fill a variety of parts. Given the fact that we will be doing this live on Zoom, some consideration will need to be given to how many different screens we can show at a given time. Because of this, rather than having you choose a specific role, we ask that you be stay flexible and leave the casting to us. This will allow us to keep complications to a minimum.

You will act out the story as it is narrated by Reverend Linda. You may create your own costumes or we can assist with them. It’s easy and sure to be a lot of fun!

Sign up here, one slot for each person signing up.

If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Slocum our Director for Religious Education at Dir.RE@Tahomauu.com.
