Congregational Meeting
Congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 12, 2022 At the request of the Board of Trustees of the Tahoma Unitarian Universalist Congregation (TUUC), the regular (annual) meeting of the congregation has been set for 12:00 noon on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Due to the current status of COVID-19, and that consequently Sunday worship services are being offered multiplatform with both onsite and online options, and unless COVID-19 conditions rapidly change, the congregational meeting will also be onsite and online via Zoom. Login details for the congregational meeting will be provided to members of the congregation closer to the date of the meeting. The business to be considered at this meeting shall be limited to:
Members, please plan to attend the meeting either in-person or online, so we can ensure a quorum for the meeting. We anticipate the logistics for voting both onsite and online will take slightly more time for tabulation, and appreciate your patience and support in these unusual times. Article VI of TUUC’s bylaws sets requirements for congregational meetings, including that a notice such as this be made in written form thirty days in advance of the meeting, that the notice shall state the business purpose of the meeting, and that a regular meeting shall be scheduled to occur within 60 days of the end of the fiscal year (June 30). This article of the bylaws also specifies who may vote at a congregational meeting. For the meeting on June 12, 2022, members eligible to vote will be those (1) whose membership began on or prior to May 12, 2022 and (2) who have made an identifiable financial contribution to TUUC this fiscal year (which began July 1, 2021) or whose responsibility to make such a contribution has been waived this fiscal year.
