The Board of Trustees is calling a special congregational meeting on Sunday, September 24th at approximately noon.

*Everyone is welcome to attend but only pledging members are allowed to vote.*

Sharon, our office administrator, and Jules, our bookkeeper, have been making good progress on our finances. They have found some areas where we haven’t gotten paid money we were owed or overpaid and are due a refund. Some of this money has already been paid back; arrangements are being made on others. It was also discovered that there were zero payments made for the TUUC employees’ retirement accounts since 2020.  This is likely why the money budgeted to pull from reserves for the past few years was not all used. We are calling this special congregational meeting to take care of this oversight and make it right.

Proposal

The BOT is recommending that we pay what is owed in back retirement using our reserves. This proposal will be the focus of our congregational meeting on September 24. Because this amount was not in the budget proposed and approved by the congregation, we need the congregation’s approval to pay this back, per our bylaws.
