An Exploration of Nature in Watercolor and Ink

My art lives at the intersection of watercolor, ink, and the Washington wilderness. Inspired by personal photos taken on site, I use my studio practice to recreate the emotions felt in the forests and
alpine meadows. Layering watercolor and ink is deeply tactile and satisfying. Each piece is a puzzle, which requires constant problem-solving to capture the details that caught my eye. This work is an invitation to the viewer. I want you to feel the spark of curiosity and wonder that is found with
exploring new environments. Through my art, I hope you are inspired to look closer at the world around you and ask your own questions.
