We’re joining Saltwater UU Congregation for worship this morning. In person worship will be a watch party, online participants can log in with the Saltwater Zoom link. Elisabeth says “Change is haaaard for most of us, including me. Leadership theorist Ronald Heifetz teaches that this is because all change begins with loss. And loss can feel like a death, however big or small. So, what might these “dead” trees of the forest that nurture so much new life have to teach us about change?”
Elisabeth Maaike Geschiere, is a descendant of Dutch, Protestant Christian, working class immigrants who were mostly farmers. She is an Aspirant UU Minister and Chaplain whose sponsoring congregation is the First UU Church of Nashville. She graduated with her Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School in 2021 and completed her Chaplain Residency in Olympia, WA this past August. She hopes to be a full time healthcare chaplain in the Puget Sound region soon.
This Sunday we will have a multi-platform service. You can attend in-person, OR you can also attend via our online Zoom option. Those attending in-person will follow our in-person gathering guidelines including wearing face masks. Children are welcome with their parents in the sanctuary. A small creativity and play area is provided for very young children inside the sanctuary. Currently no separate in-person classroom space, this includes no separate programs for children or separate nursery care area.
