What driving a city bus can teach you about building beloved community one day at a time.
Joe Rettenmaier is a candidate for ministry with the UUA. He has called Seattle and the Salish Sea home since 1988. In 2016 he left high-tech corporate pursuits to fulfill his call to ministry, and in May of 2019 he received his Master of Divinity degree from Meadville-Lombard Theological School and completed his ministerial internship at Edmonds UU Congregation. Joe’s practice of ministry aims to dismantle systemic racism and white fragility, develop authentic multiculturalism within congregations, provide spiritual fuel for climate justice work, and reinvigorate LGBTQ+ beloved communities.
