Join us for 30 minutes of sitting or walking meditation in the sanctuary. Each week we have a topic for discussion related to meditating as a way to expand our knowledge and connect with one another. This group is for everyone, whether you meditate frequently, occasionally, or are coming for your first meditation sit. The group is also open to any ideas or topics anyone may wish to share. The Social Justice Committee meets monthly on the first Wednesday evening of the month. To join the meeting on Zoom, email SJCTahoma.UU@gmail.com and request the meeting information. 

Weekly Camp Fire Group gathering. Private group. Registration required.

This time is reserved for music rehearsals for worship services, and as appropriate, will be updated with the name of the group rehearsing on individual evenings when that information is available. 

Our Whole Lives class for 8th and 9th graders. Registration required for class series with Director of Religious Exploration, Nancy Slocum.

Following worship services on second Sundays, join a Chalice Circle open to anyone who would like to attend. The group will begin with any thoughts/reflections/comments about the morning service as a way to get centered, and then focus on the month’s Chalice Circle theme and sharing. Doug Taylor facilitates this monthly open Chalice Circle.

Full Moon Pagan Studies aims to present pagan learning topics to both pagans and interested non-pagans in the community.

Coming Together Reopening Updates Page

Please join members of TUUC's sabbatical committee in drafting a covenant for the congregation's work together during the time that Rev. Linda Hart is on sabbatical from July through November 2020. Join a discussion after the worship service on Sunday, March 15 or Sunday, March 29 to offer your thoughts about key ideas for a sabbatical covenant. If neither of these times work for you, look for an announcement of an upcoming "Zoom" virtual meeting, or take a moment to share your ideas with Christy McDaniel, Scott Redman, Bob Hayes, or Tom Bookout.

Board of Trustees meetings are open to members of the congregation. Occasionally some agenda items of the Board of Trustees meetings are addressed in executive session, and open only to board members. Take a deep dive into our Soul Matters theme of the month every fourth Sunday following worship service from September to May. Using a different format than our Chalice Circles, experience a new theme each month in community with others. The deep dives support and reinforce Chalice Circle participation, and are open to all adult members and friends, whether or not you participate as a Chalice Circle member. No prior reading or preparation is required. Rev. Linda Hart and Doug Taylor co-lead this monthly exploration. Questions? Heart and Soul is a contemplative gathering that will be held on Zoom. It's an invitation into quiet and sharing with each other that is structured and facilitated. This session is limited to 10 participants. Email Rev. Linda  to sign up for the gathering and to receive the log in information.

Movie meetup! Enjoy movies? Want to connect with people in this time of social distancing? For those who might enjoy watching a movie (online) and then having a fun, relaxed Zoom discussion afterward to connect, please note we will have our first meeting, Friday, March 27, 2020 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the church’s zoom room at https://zoom.us/j/2689755399. This group will be facilitated by Erien Babcock, our Ministerial Intern.
