In this sermon, Lauren explores white privilege, colonial capitalism, and the moral urgency to resist with Love, Compassion and Honesty. Through personal stories, Indigenous wisdom, prophetic voices, and spiritual reflection, she calls the congregation toward deeper awareness, solidarity, and shared commitment to justice grounded in love.
In a wisdom tale, Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh tells us the bump in the road doesn’t create what spills out of the cup we are carrying. Instead it reveals what is already inside. The question is not about who bumps us rather, “What am I carrying in my cup?”
Our annual congregational meeting will be this Sunday, June 9 after worship service starting at approximately 11:45. We are excited to be able to share financial reports for the first time in a number of years! Click here to access the folder. If this link is not working for you, please be sure to let Krissy or Lauren know.
For our meeting, we must have a quorum in order to conduct business, so please be sure to attend. All members in good standing can vote. This means folks who have signed the membership book, submitted a pledge form or a waiver form, and are making their pledge payments.
You can attend in person or on Zoom. Please use this Zoom link for the meeting. It will also be posted in the chat if you attend service via Zoom on Sunday.
