Explore how you feel and think within white supremacy culture, and expand your ability to sit with discomfort as you courageously dive into this vulnerable space with activist facilitators, Aaron Johnson and Porsha Beed, the founders of Holistic Resistance.
Participants are guided through story and questions alongside other white-identified people to answer the question “What keeps white people from deeply connecting with Black people?” and “How are connection and relationship with each other critical pieces of undoing oppression?”
Date: Saturday November 16, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., with optional extra processing from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. For detailed info, what to bring, and to RSVP, please see the Facebook event page: https://bit.ly/2nTGuuZ or sign up at TUUC after Sunday services.
Participant fee is $200-$75 (No one turned away for lack of funds).
This workshop is for white people to process racism with Black facilitators – if you are a person of color and are interested in connecting with Aaron and Porsha about this work, or have questions about whether this workshop is for you, please ask V.Carhart for Aaron’s contact information.
