Experience and enhance your understanding of complementary therapies specially tailored to provide comfort to meet the needs of people and families who are facing life-limiting illness. Comfort therapies, such as therapeutic music, massage therapy, art therapy, and aromatherapy help to decrease pain, reduce anxiety, increase relaxation, and increase quality of life for people facing the end stages of their life due to illness, as well as for their family members and friends. Including comfort therapies into your self-care and spiritual practice can have wonderful holistic benefits.

Kim Valentine is a Comfort Therapist with Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care providing live therapeutic music and massage therapy for those on hospice care. She also conducts sound healing workshops for family and friends who have lost a loved one. Kim has a gift of creating sacred space for healing, well-being, and end-of-life transition. Kim holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, Biostatistics from Loma Linda University, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University at Fullerton and is a Certified Music Practitioner, Certified Tibetan Singing Bowl Teacher, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Medical Massage Practitioner, and a Reiki Master.
