COVID Vaccine Clinic
Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department
Hosted in Church Sanctuary
Tuesday, October 25, 2022, 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Great News! TUUC is partnering with the Tacoma/Pierce County Health Department to offer another free COVID vaccination clinic on Wednesday, October 25, 2:00-6:00 p.m. in the TUUC sanctuary. This clinic will feature the bivalent vaccine that offers protection from variants – including Omicron – as well as the original COVID virus. The vaccine is available to people ages 12 and older for sure, and likely ages 5 and older. T/PC Health is currently waiting for approval to administer bivalent booster to children ages 5-12, and expects that approval soon. Vaccines are free and no registration is required. Masks are required by the T/PC Health Department.
This information from the CDC about vaccines includes a calculator to determine if you are eligible for a booster.
If you are unable to get your booster at TUUC on October 25, take a look at the Tacoma/Pierce County Health Department webpage for vaccine information and a schedule of vaccine events.
As Winnie the Pooh would say, please pass this information on to all your friends and relations!
If you have questions or would like to volunteer to help out for a few hours at the clinic, please send an email to email@example.com We need a few volunteers who are willing to:
- Stand on the corner waving to cars passing by and pointing out the “Vaccine Clinic” sign. We have learned that this makes a difference! (Feel free to wear a colorful hat or gloves!)
- Check in with people who have been vaccinated to see how they are feeling and alert clinic staff if there are any problems.
- If we have a surge of people coming to get vaccinated, we will help manage the flow of people into the church, so we don’t get too crowded inside. (This has not been an issue during earlier clinics.)
- Assist clinic staff any way they ask.
Your help makes a difference!
