At the request of the Board of Trustees of the Tahoma Unitarian Universalist Congregation (TUUC), a special meeting of the congregation has been set for 12:00 noon on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Due to the current closure of the church building because of COVID-19, and mindful of the Washington state direction to “Stay Home, Stay Healthy,” the congregational meeting will be held on Zoom. Login details for the congregational meeting will be provided to members of the congregation closer to the date of the meeting.
The business to be considered at this meeting shall be limited to:
- Safe Parking pilot program in Tahoma UU Congregation parking lot including related financial information
- Church business updates related to COVID-19
Article VI of TUUC’s bylaws sets requirements for congregational meetings, including that a notice such as this be made in written form thirty days in advance of the meeting and that the notice shall state the business purpose of the meeting.
This article of the bylaws also specifies who may vote at a congregational meeting. For the meeting on February 21, 2021, members eligible to vote will be those (1) whose membership began on or prior to January 22, 2021 and (2) who have made an identifiable financial contribution to TUUC this fiscal year (which began July 1, 2020) or whose responsibility to make such a contribution has been waived this fiscal year.
