Announcing the PNW Religious Education Online Collaborative for Children and Youth
Religious Educators from around the Pacific Northwest have formed a collaborative to provide online Religious Education/Exploration for school-aged children and youth weekly through this next year. While this won’t replace the programs we will have at TUUC, this is an additional option for anyone from within our congregation who would like to participate.
The classes will be led by Religious Educators and volunteers from congregations in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. This is a great opportunity for kids (and adult volunteers) to interact with people from other congregations and to have a large enough group to make it fun!
- Elementary (grades 1-5) will meet on Sundays at 9:45 am.
- Middle School (grades 6-8) will meet on Sundays at 1:00 pm.
- High School grades 9-12) will meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm
Adult volunteers are also needed to help with the classes.
Elementary and Middle School classes begin this Sunday, September 26. The High School Group will begin in October, start date to be determined.
If you are interested in having your child participate in this online program or if you are interested in volunteering (background check required), please contact Nancy Slocum, TUUC Director of Religious Education for Children and Youth at Dir.RE@TahomaUU.com. For safety reasons, we will not be publishing links to these classes.
