Updated Reopening Information — November 18, 2022

The Reverend Doctor Linda Ann Hart

Dear friends,

At its meeting on Thursday, the Board voted to accept the recommendations of the Pandemic Next Steps Committee (Maria Figueroa, Cindy Hackett, Dave Hackett, Laura Gardner, Sheila Whybrow, and me) to move us back to a more normal Sunday morning experience.

Starting this Sunday, masks will be optional for those attending the service in person. The alcove to the left of the church – near the piano – will be set aside for those who wish to sit with others who are masked. There will be an air purifier located in that section to offer further safety for those who want it. Seating will be relaxed for people to sit as they wish, though if you wish to maintain seating distance, the green signs that indicate distance in seating will be available to indicate that you’re wanting more distance. Take one and set it next to you to let others know.

The windows and exterior doors will be closed, and we will continue to use the fans to keep air circulating through our sanctuary.

We continue to work to open our downstairs for children’s activities, and hope that by the first of the year, we’ll be able to offer both space and programming for them downstairs as we rebuild our Religious Exploration program.

Our Sunday service this week is “Stories from Safe Parking,” and I hope many of you will be present to hear about the good work that our congregation has been doing over the last year and a half.

In faith,

Linda
