Paying Attention: What is in Your Cup?
In a wisdom tale, Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh tells us the bump in the road doesn’t create what spills out of the cup we are carrying. Instead it reveals what is already inside. The question is not about who bumps us rather, “What am I carrying in my cup?”

On Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Linda will be on Zoom with a cup of tea and available for conversation and checking in. Any and everyone is welcome to come along for casual conversation. She'll have a question of the day (for example, "Where did you find joy in the last week?"), but any and everyone can check in and chat as they are most comfortable.
Participants are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before the meeting start time, so attendees can be invited into the Zoom room. Once the gathering circle has been created for tea time, the Zoom “door” will be closed, and late attendees will not be able to enter. Your timely login allows us the opportunity to create a space for interested participants, and publicly offer this invitation, as well as alleviate concerns about potential mischievous Zoombombers.

Heart and Soul Circles for Contemplation and Connection with Doug Taylor on Zoom
Wednesdays, July 29 and August 5, 12
9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
"Heart and Soul Circle for Contemplation and Connection" originated and authored by Rev. Jane Blackall, Minister, Kensington Unitarians, UK and drawing from Wikstrom's "Simply Pray" and other spiritual resources. All gatherings are held via Zoom and you will need to contact Doug Taylor ahead of time to register as gatherings are usually limited to 12. Doug will then provide you materials for the gathering and the Zoom login information.
As described by Rev. Jane Blackall:
"Heart and Soul is a contemplative spiritual gathering in which you can take time to reflect on life in the company of others. Each session follows a regular pattern, including readings and music from a wide range of sources, and an extended time for guided prayers of gratitude, self-reflection, silent meditation, and compassion for others. Each gathering offers opportunities for deep sharing on life's joys and sorrows through which we can get to know others at a deeper level. Heart and Soul was developed and is led by Unitarians and while many of the regular participants are also Unitarian these gatherings are welcoming to all people of goodwill regardless of their religious outlook. We typically use a mix of words which work for both people who do value God-language and for those who don’t so we ask everyone to be generous in their listening and do whatever internal 'translating' you find necessary.
We are keen to spread the word about Heart and Soul gatherings to anyone who might benefit from participating - particularly in these challenging times of social distancing and increased isolation - so we would appreciate it if you would share this information with friends and encourage them to sign up too."
Members can access Doug Taylor's contact information via the online membership directory, or members or friends can email Admin@TahomaUU.com for the information.

This one-time two-hour chat on Zoom only requires that you’ve watched the Star Wars movies, and have a willingness to join in the chat with an eye to having fun and learning from each other.

Join the TUUC Pagan group to explore one of the lesser-known pagan holidays, Lughnasadh (Loo-na-saud).

Our monthly studies aim to present pagan learning topics to both pagans and interested non-pagans in the community.
Although not widely known, Lughnasadh is a significant and complex holiday – an important part of the wheel of the year, and a masculine counterpoint to the feminine centered holidays earlier in the year.
Our meeting will consist of a short presentation followed by a round table discussion of the topics and themes of the holiday.
