Transforming White Fragility

One of the tasks of majority white communities like ours is to be at work on ourselves in identifying and understanding our place in white supremacy. It’s hard work for some white people to do that work. How do we transform resistance to understanding?

“If Not Us, Who? If Not Now, When?”

Despite our progress, it’s hard to say the grand American experiment in democracy does not have its flaws. Is it the inner compass, the outer compass or a personal sense of True North that we turn to when life feels a little (or a lot) uncertain? Come join us for a youthful perspective to this ageless question.

The Biggest Risk of All

Mary Oliver asked us, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

Join us as we consider the importance of this question in our lives and how to make sure our unique answer doesn’t get lost in the noise of living.

Risky Business

One blogger called Unitarian Universalists “about as dangerous as storytime at your local library!” An elder in the Latter Day Saints noted that if we could keep hold of our youth, we might be dangerous. As we prepare for a vote on calling a minister, we reflect on the risky business of religious life.
